Ever want to have a little plant but without the hassle and mess? Here's a fantastic plant for you - the "Air Plant"!

The Air Plant actually belongs to the genus Tillandsia.  Its shape is very similar to a pineapple crown, so It has a name of "Air Pineapple" in Taiwan. The advantage of Air Plant is that there is no need to use soil and flower pots to grow it.  These will save you from getting dirty or avoid breeding mosquitoes because of the stagnant water in the pot.  It s all thanks to the tricomes on the surface of the plant which will absorb the nutrients from air.  So what you need is simply to keep it in an airy space and spray the right amount of water.  As Air Plant mainly depends on the air and water to grow, it is very important to monitor the temperature and humidity in the air for it to thrive.  It is always a good idea to grow the plant with a digital thermometer alongside.

Planting method:

Temperature: The suitable temperature for growth is 5-40℃.  If the temperature is below 10℃, water spraying should be reduced, and  it will go dormant below 5℃, It is recommended to spray water at night when  temperature is high, and at noon when temperature is low.

Sunlight: and Air Cirulation :  Place the plant in an area with good air circulation and access to sunlight. About 8 hours of diffused sunlight a day is sufficient for it to grow.  In summer, avoid direct sunlight when the temperature exceeds 30 °C.

Humidity: Humidity is an important factor as it affects the growth rate of the plant. The number of water spraying can be determined according to the humidity of the air. Generally, the environmental humidity is best maintained at 55%~65%, We will recommended to use a thermometer hygrometer from IDEAL LIFE for monitoring this.

Water spraying: Once every two or three days,. Simply spray the whole plant with water until water is on every leaves of the plant.  Shake the water off from the leaf core if it is excessive.
